Jared Mellick began visiting job sites with this father Ken at the impressionable age of five. While most kids his age were learning how to properly hold a fork, Jared was also learning every aspect of custom home building, including how to hold a hammer. Jared's full-time immersion to the industry of construction began at the age of 18 and he has become a premier expert in the field. He is the author of the home improvement book In the House and has been featured in numerous magazines such as Success Magazine. He has made numerous TV appearances, formerly one of Channel 9’s “Pros Who Know” and has hosted a local radio show called “In the House” since 1999. Jared is a former trainer for Certified Contractors Network and has been featured in numerous contractor training audio recordings which have been utilized nation-wide.
Jared and Ken Mellick founded Universal Roof & Contracting in 1992 and have grown the business substantially during the past 28 years. It is a truly family-owned and family-operated business that includes many members of the large Mellick family. A licensed General Contractor, Jared is passionate about approaching each structure as an entire working system whose central role is to provide a quality of life for those who spend time in it. For two decades Universal Roof has partnered with Florida homeowners to tackle their home improvement and roof contractor needs quickly and efficiently, with the utmost in personal service, professional workmanship and quality materials.
In 2016 Renewal by Andersen of Florida was created with Jared at the helm. RbA of Florida has locations in Central Florida, Jacksonville & Tampa.
