About

In the early 1950’s, when my father migrated to England, there weren’t Indian restaurants or grocery stores. Because my father so dearly loved and missed Indian food, he began cooking and preparing his favorite dishes for family and friends. I grew up helping my father in the kitchen and my inspiration and recipes come from him.

After I got married and moved to the United States, I spent years perfecting these recipes and preparing them for my loved ones. I didn’t begin selling my chutneys until I started my own Indian cooking classes. So many of my students requested to buy my chutney that I began making small batches to sell to friends. As its popularity grew, I created new varieties such as mango, tamarind and cilantro.
