About
We are a small family farm located in Bedford Charter Township, just outside Battle Creek. We raise Heritage meats and Heirloom produce. We raise Poultry, Goat, Pork, and Beef. Along with the meats and produce, we roast and sell Fresh Coffee which we market as FBF Coffee. We also operate Goats On The Go® Kalamazoo where we offer a targeted grazing service to remove invasive and noxious weeds from overgrown properties.

Antibiotic And Hormone Free Pastured Free Range Non Gmo 100 Percent Grass Fed
We feed our Poultry, Goats and Pigs a Non-gmo feed sourced from a local Amish Mill. Our Irish Dexter beef cattle are fed a 100% grass fed diet. Our Chickens are completely free range and are never confined. We raise only Heritage breeds of Pork to include Mangalista and Red Wattle pigs. They are raised in the forest to give them the most natural environment while they grow. We strive to give all our animals the best possible most natural life we can. We believe that best tasting and healthiest food comes from happy healthy animals.
We are currently certified through MAEAP.
We have an MDARD licensed commercial kitchen where we freshly roast our Coffee.
We are a state Licensed Egg Processor.

Our farm was established in 2020, at the high point of the pandemic. Chris and I were home from work and had planned on working on getting the house organized while the kids were away on Spring Break. They didn't leave, and our house is still unorganized. We decided to start small, we'd buy four chicks and if we didn't kill them, we'd be happy. By the time we got to the store we decided 10 was a good round number. And while we're at it, let's add meat rabbits, Kiko goats, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Heritage pigs and Dexter cattle.
While we were collecting farm animals, we decided we should also grow our own produce, produce our own hay, have a fruit orchard, take our Goats On The Go! ®, and Tawney will become a small batch specialty coffee roaster so we can stay awake to get all the chores done each day. We're still in learning mode and have many more ideas we'd like to implement on the farm. We're learning every day and loving every minute of it!
