Our small family farm is located in Rixeyville, VA (Culpeper county). The farmer's market operation is run by husband and wife team Caroline Mello & John Huff. We produce a variety of specialty jams, baked goods, mushrooms, pasture raised eggs and heirloom veggies. Our jams are made in a French style copper preserving pan using local fruit as much as possible. We offer a variety of flavors for both sweet and savory applications. Among our market customers we may be most known for our Ginger Scones, but other standout baked goods we offer include Orange Cornmeal muffins, Cherry Pecan & Coconut Granola, Shortbread cookies and Salted Caramel & Pecan Brioche Cinnamon Buns. Other farm products we sell include Shiitake mushrooms, a small selection of our favorite heirloom vegetables from the garden and pasture raised chicken eggs from our flock of roughly 100 birds.

Production Practices
Pastured Free Range
For our flock of laying chickens we have a mobile coop that we move around the pasture throughout the year to give the chickens access to fresh grass and bugs. The coop is built on top of a hay wagon so it can be moved with a tractor. We also surround the coop with portable electric poultry fencing to keep the chickens safe from ground predators. We select breeds that lay a variety of egg colors, so our rainbow dozens are the most beautiful eggs at the market! Or at least we think so.
