Duerksen Turkey Farm

We are third generation turkey farmers located in Mancelona on the outskirts of beautiful Antrim County in Northern Michigan. Our farm sets on 44 acres of green pastures where we raise between 5,000-6,000 white broad breasted turkeys.
We care deeply about how we raise our turkeys and desire to produce the healthiest turkey possible for our customers.
On the farm we raise our one day old poults on dry premium soft wood shavings under gas brooder stoves in a clean, insulated barn that has been sanitized and well ventilated. The turkeys have fresh clean water and NON GMO grains. Once they reach 10 weeks of age they are moved out into the pastures that are fenced off with electric strands to keep predators out. While in the pastures the turkeys are sheltered by mature trees and wooden shelters. They have ample room to run, dine on a smorgasbord of insects and bask in the sun or roost under the shade trees or shelters. All the exercise keeps the stress levels down and builds strong legs for a healthier turkey. It's important to us that our turkeys are raised to live and thrive the way animals are intended to and as close to nature as possible.
