We are a small family run/operated farm in the Montpilier/Bumpass area of Hanover County. When I met my husband we knew we would have a farm together and in just under 2 years. Boom

Production Practices
Pastured Free Range Crop Rotation Use Only Organic Materials Antibiotic And Hormone Free Low Till Perennial Crops
We do mostly no-till, but have tilled in the past. We do not spray or use pesticides. Yes, sometimes you may get a worm or two in your vegetables (no charge for extra proteins). We use our compost and abundant rabbit pellets for ferritization. We generally free range all of our feathered friends, but lately we have had to limit their area due to heavy pedator issues. Our chickens are also put to work in all of our paddocks and they enjoy the job! We are breeding our dwarf Nigerian goats for the first time and hope to have our first milk available this spring for cheeses, soap, etc.... We have fresh eggs to offer from our chickens, ducks and quail. Throughout the year process some drakes, roosters and turkeys. We also have rabbits that can be purchased life or processed. We are currently raising Berkshire hogs and will be breeding them to offer as either harvested or piglet purchase. We are growing as are our offerings. We are blessed with wild grown, indigenes Paw Paw trees and their fruits will be available in the fall. We will also be selling smaller saplings for trasplant.
We also have grown to an 11 hive apiary and I am sure that will continue as long as we can keep healthy hives! mmm, honey!
When not busy with critters and crops, I enjoy creating. I create with upcycling techniques, canning, crochet, candle making from our beeswax and natural craft items

When we met we knew we would farm together as we grew together. Mark is a natural when it comes to his green thumb and building skills. He was already into bee keeping and raising chickens, I have a background as as chef, baker, butcher, hobby farmer and farmers market background ( volunteer, chef demos, producer, seller, preserving the harvest, critter corner, etc...)
