Allyson Gernandt Gemstone Jewelry
Material Goods/Craft/Flea/Art
Silversmith since 1993. My father in law gave me a short soldering lesson one day, and I thought "this is magic". I have to do this. He took me to a Gem Show, where I saw hundreds of kinds of stones... beads, cabochons and raw specimens. I could not go home with buying some. Before that point in my life, I had NO desire to wear or make jewelry. What a change of direction. I took a beginner Soldering class at John Campbell Folk School in 1993, and am self-taught since then. My Job is to help my stones find their "person" so that the energy flows both ways and enhances both.
