We believe Indian food can be fun, innovative, and a cuisine that people can enjoy everyday! We aim to connect people through recipes inspired by our family while creating an enjoyable journey for our guests.
Our vision is to create a space for people to try, understand, and enjoy authentic but contemporary Indian foods, drinks, and spices while creating a community of exploratory foodies. We are a platform that creates an immersive cultural experience.
The Humble Butternut currently operates out of a ghost kitchen in South Tampa, offering takeout, delivery, and catering services. To expand our mission, we also offer virtual cooking classes, customized kits, and we launched our very own virtual marketplace that offers sweets, chutneys, oils, mocktail kits, and more for nationwide shipping or local pickup.

When Natasha started HB, she was the visionary behind creating a new category of Indian food. Natasha's joy for cooking stems from her mother, who she watched prepare fresh rotis and from-scratch meals. Through her childhood, she watched her mother be brave as she learned how to make dishes from other cultures to make her children happy. She watched her be humble, as she was dedicated to feeding their community. Natasha strives to embody her mother's memory. Before launching HB in Florida, she lived in England, France, and Singapore while working in Finance.
Cristina, Natasha's sister-in-law, grew up in a multi-cultural household; she spent quality time in the kitchen with her Cuban mother and Iranian father, learning about the family history through food. Throughout Cristina's career in Finance and Marketing, food remained a passion and a creative outlet.
Cristina and Natasha are related through Natasha's brother, but their foundation has grown via their love for food.
