Virginia Bluebells are a must-have for the simple joy they provide each spring. Buds appear in pink, then open to blue and last for weeks. Early nectar is especially important to native bees and butterflies. Foliage dies back in summer as the plant goes dormant until the next year so plant it with later emerging perennials like Lobelia for continuous color.
