Bjorn's Honey

Björn's Honey is a small-batch, honey producer based in Boulder, Colorado. Pontus, our beekeeper, grew up in Sweden and learned the practice from his grandfather Björn; the company namesake. We sell Colorado honey that my husband (and his bees) make, but we also source honey from beekeeping friends around the country. When we do markets in Flordia we put an emphasis on our healthy honey varieties, including our Propolis and Royal Honey.

We believe that honey is not only a delicious sweetener, it's a product for everyday health. We also believe that the beehive has so much to offer besides just honey. For example, Pontus, our beekeeper, has been working with propolis all his life. Propolis, an age-old remedy made by the bees from tree and plant resins, and is known to bolster the immune system and contains antifungal and antibacterial properties. Propolis honey was created by Pontus’ father Torbjörn in Sweden and it quickly became a hit. When Pontus moved to Colorado, he couldn’t resist whipping up his own batch. By blending Colorado honey with high-quality propolis extract we boost honey's health benefits. We are actively working with a beekeeping friend in the Fort Myers area to source Southern Florida honey that Pontus will use to make a Florida-local Propolis Honey.

Pontus also sources a collection of honey from America's most trusted and unique beekeepers which we sell under our Björn's Varietals Honey brand. Honey’s taste and color change depending on what types of flowers the honeybees have pollinated. Our honey contains the flavors of American botanicals and it is a great way to experience the regional difference in honey varietals. Pontus has many beekeeping friends and has always wanted to find a way to bring their amazing regional honey to his customers. By sourcing honey from the best beekeepers he knows, Pontus is helping to keep the craft of beekeeping alive.

In addition to the honey described above, we have a selection of seasonal products including Untouched Honey, Honeycomb in boxes, and an organic Lavender Infused Honey in the summer plus holiday honey flavors like Cinnamon, Saffron, and Whiskey Barrel-Aged. We have recently developed a line of CBD Honey. By blending our raw whipped honey with USDA certified organically grown full spectrum hemp extract from the Colorado eastern plains, we have created a CBD Honey that’s delicious in taste and rich in cannabinoids but is non-psychoactive because it contains no THC.

Pontus has also developed a line of bee-based products that we sell under our Björn’s Health and Skincare brand. Pontus developed the line with a skincare producer who is a professional beekeeper and pharmacist and understands bees and their benefits, as well as traditional cosmetics production. He is also a dear friend of Pontus' family in Sweden. Björn’s salves, mouth-sprays, and creams leverage the wonders of honeybees, from beeswax to propolis and, of course, honey.
