Barrel Oak Winery and Farm Taphose

Fauquier's own Barrel Oak is Virginia's favorite winery.

Since the first vine was planted on our Delaplane farmstead in 2006, we have remained committed to providing our guests with premium examples of fine Virginia winemaking. Our 30-acre vineyard is home to a selection of traditional vinifera and American and French hybrids.

Our grape varietals include: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Manseng, Viognier, Petit Verdot, Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Traminette, and Chambourcin. We also grow Virginia’s premiere native grape: Norton.

BOW has over 100 gold medals and our dedication to utmost quality has not gone un-noticed by national and international wine judges. Our winemakers Shai Van Gelder and Sharon Roeder have racked up close to 500 regional, national and international awards since 2008.

Hosting Not-For-Profit charitable benefits figure prominently among our passions. Since opening our doors in 2008, we have helped charitable organizations raise over one and a half million dollars through events held here on the property. In our effort to assist during this crisis, 3% of your purchase proceeds will go to support local organizations providing food support to our most vulnerable citizens.
