About

Woodsong Naturals, located in Caroline County, is a 50 acre farm with a multi-acre market garden (including vegetables, herbs, and flowers), pasture raised broilers, free range chemical free eggs, lamb, and baked goods. Bob earned a Master's degree in Crop and Soils Environmental Science from Virginia Tech in order to go overseas and do international development work. Unfortunately, in his last year of graduate school, 9/11 occurred and those plans were derailed, He followed his love for internationals by serving at VCU in their international admissions and recruitment department. After 20 years in higher education, he has left to pursue full-time vegetable production.. His wife, Neila, has spent those years raising their ten children, in addition to caring for aging parents on the farm. We have been growing the farm for years and gearing up for this pursuit., as we add more greenhouses and open up more space for growing vegetables, herbs and flowers, We grow what we want to feed our family: chemical free, all natural, "real" food, grown sustainably with cover crops and wood chips to protect the soil and enrich the nutrition of what we grow. We are excited to share the results with you!
