Sojourn Series Ciders

The Sojourn Series ciders are estate-based bottles that feature the unique profiles of charismatic cider apples grown at the local orchards in our network. These thoughtfully fermented and carefully crafted small-batch ciders offer a superb taste of place and of the elements of the Olympic Peninsula (Vista Ridge), Ashland, OR (Heart of Gold) and Tieton, WA (Sweet Ashmeads). This family of ciders highlights our regional network of orchards and our work to grow rooted relationships with local growers.

Sweet Ashmeads
Sweetness: Off-Dry
Alcohol Percentage: 9% abv
Aroma & Flavor: A nose of white wine and nectar, melon, sweet tangerine and pear. A quick acidity carries the honey-like ripeness to a lingering but gentle finish.
Apple Varieties: Ashmead’s Kernal grown by Tieton Cider in Tieton, WA

Heart of Gold
Sweetness: Dry
Alcohol Percentage: 8.5% abv
Aroma & Flavor: Aromas of pears and white wine, with a bit of cucumber and grapefruit rind. This cider hits the pallet with flowing acidity around the mouth and a background of earthy bitters for balance. Clean and crisp with a lingering pithy finish.
Apple Varieties: Finnriver organically-grown varieties including: Golden Russet, Ashmead's Kernal, Karmijn de Sonneville, Belle de Boskoop and Claygate Pearmain; along with organic Golden Russet apples from an orchard partner in Ashland, Oregon.

Vista Ridge
Sweetness: Bittersweet, Off-Dry
Alcohol Percentage: 9% abv
Aroma & Flavor: Offers a deep sense of leather and apples, with baking spice and warm fruit and a mouth-filling tannic chewiness that finishes dry.
Apple Varieties: A robust list of traditional cider apples grown (such as Ellis Bitter, Amere de Berthcort, Reine des Pommes) and mindfully tended by our friends at Vista Ridge Orchard in Quilcene, WA.
