About

We are a new nonprofit established in late 2017. We created the nonprofit to provide job training and meaningful work to young adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Our team supports daily operations of baking and packaging all natural ginger dog treats. Our young adults are supported by a team of volunteers from the local Mount Vernon Community. Our dough is prepared by the culinary arts program at Pulley Career Center. It is a great community partnership that we have established. We use the church kitchen at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and sell our treats at their farm stand in the summer. There is such a need to provide meaningful work and a sense of purpose to this population as the underemployment rate is nearly 80%

Manager

Anne Tuccillo
I retired from the US Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Aid after 33 years of service. I have raised a son who was born with a rare neurological disease and have become an advocate for the special needs population. Once my son transitioned out of public education at age 22, we quickly came to realize that finding a job that pays was next to impossible. So we set out to create something that our son could do and we invited other families just like us to join us. Truly, this is the hardest job I've ever loved, but it is well worth the time and effort to see these young people find purpose and meaning in the simple pleasure of creating treats for dogs.
