About

I love doing a variety of artwork and have just starting offering things like home goods on my website, but for local markets like the Indie Flea, I would love focus on hand printed apparel, art prints and cards. I carve blocks by hand and then use the blocks to hand print the various images as either prints, notecards or apparel items. The themes of some of my block designs include “Tampa”, “Gasparilla”, “Hola/Aloha/Hello”, “Tough as Nails”, “Badass Female”, “Gators” and “Pineapples”. I would also offer full color giclee prints of some of the painting and mixed media pieces I’ve made. These themes include “Florida”, “Ocean”, “Lobsters for Your Beach House” and “She’s a Leader and We Need Her”. Cards themes include “Gators”, “Birthday”, “Congratulations”, “Thank You”, “Pineapples”, “Home”, and more. All prints and cards are packaged in clear bags and prints also include a sturdy backing board. Apparel items are available in adult and baby sizes. Thank you for your consideration!

Lisa Baylor
Though she’s lived in Tampa for over a decade, Lisa Baylor grew up in small town Missouri and attended Webster University in St. Louis, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art and earning Art Department Honors. Lisa has been making artwork for as long as she can remember and her desire to create continues to occupy every spare moment. One of Lisa’s favorite mediums to work with is mixed media – combining unconventional materials with paint on canvas. Having utilized components such as coffee, grits and sand in her pieces, she is always looking for new ways to create interesting colors, patterns, textures and dimension.

In addition to mixed media fine art, she also loves printmaking and graphic design, creating custom logos for her customers and inventing her own custom apparel designs from hand carved blocks.

Baylor has shown her work at several spaces in St. Louis as well as the Ashby-Hodge Gallery in Fayette, Missouri where one of her pieces is part of the gallery’s permanent collection. Her artwork is currently on display at the Carlton Ward Gallery and Salt Pines in Tampa's Hyde Park Village.
