About

Hi there!
My utmost goal is to help new people get excited about cooking for themselves and Community! I am a Chef and Pastry chef that has returned to Faribault, my hometown, to raise my now 4 month old daughter. I have an acre and half of land growing. What am I growing? All of my seeds are from Baker Creek Heirloom seed. Radish, turnips, Arugula, Dandelion greens, Spinach, Gustav's butter Lettuce, Landis winter Lettuce, Lil Gem Lettuce, and Strawberry Spinach. All common cooking herbs. Adding fresh herbs into salads is so refreshing so I hope to make take home mixes to take the guess work out for those new to adding fresh herbs to their greens.
I have two kinds of green beans, Chinese Broccoli-Yod Fah, Cucumber-Jibai Shimoshirazu, Purple Bumble bee cherry tomatoes, Green Doctor cherry tomatoes, Black and green heirloom tomatoes, Poblano peppers, and Carrots.
For fruit I will have wild yellow strawberries and regular strawberries, raspberries, pears-regular one type and one type of apple-Harrelsons. My parents inherited Uhlir's Orchard and the apple and pear trees are still going and there is always plenty and too much.
Bouquets! I will have two kinds, one edible and the other for show. Amaranth-purple and yellow, Calendula, Celosia-3 kinds, Dahlia-3 kinds, White Marigold, Gomphrena, Nasturtium, and Safflower.
I am highly creative and for another outlet I have my Cottage food Producers License. I definitely see myself making some pastries, Chocolate Pear Jam, Apple Galette, Tomato Pie, salad dressings. And Dog Treats.
I do have a Facebook page already up and running. I post a weekly video on fun tips in the kitchen. Right now I am selling May Day Baskets and delivery service. I feel May Day baskets encourage a sense of community and neighbor love. Happy to bring May Day back!

Thank you for your time and consideration. I have experienced many other farmers markets being that I have lived out of state and country. I have always admired the farmer dropping off their happy plants at the restaurants I had the joy of working in. Becoming a farmer is helping me be with and raise my daughter.
