Our meat store is located in beautiful Joplin, Missouri. We are very proud that all of our beef is raised right on our very own farm just outside of Asbury, Missouri.. about 15 minutes from our store!

Antibiotic And Hormone Free Pastured Non Gmo

We raise 100% ALL NATURAL, grass fed and grain finished beef. No hormones or antibiotics are used... ever! We source our cattle feed - both hay and grains - local to our farm. We pasture our cattle on ground that we manage and monitor.

J-H Certified Akaushi Beef is USDA Prime quality grade. We conduct DNA verification to preserve the purity of the Akaushi breed and ensure a consistent and high-quality beef eating experience. We oversee beef production from the ranch all the way to your table, ensuring a safe, healthy and wholesome product for your family.

J-H Certified Akaushi Beef is extraordinarily tender and can be cut with a butter knife. Its intense marbling results in a distinct, buttery flavor. From our farm to your table, enjoy a cut of beef that is cut above the rest.

Akaushi beef has a higher concentration of monounsaturated fat which the American Heart Association notes can lead to lower cholesterol, the prevention of coronary heart disease and weight loss. Akaushi beef is also a natural source of oleic acid which gives our Certified Akaushi Beef its buttery taste and is good for the heart.

Wagyu is a collective term for all Japanese cattle. “Wagyu” translates simply enough as “Japanese cow.” Akaushi is a specific Wagyu cattle breed, separate and distinct from other Japanese cattle breeds. Most cattle store much of their fat under their hide. Akaushi are one of the few breeds that naturally deposit fat intramuscularly. The distribution of marbling in Akaushi beef – which is the fat throughout the meat – improves tenderness and flavor intensity.
