About

Black Arrow Farm was founded in the late 1950’s by Bill and Mary Burge, a recently married couple. They each came from a family of farmers and would carry on that tradition. Bill began by showing prize Angus cattle; when economic problems struck the beef market Bill switched his focus to hogs. Bill, known as Pa to his loved ones, continued working the farm until the early 90’s at which point he began to slow down due to his health. In 1998, while still in high school, Jon Burge, Pa’s eldest grandson, decided to take up the farming legacy. Our whole family has a love for animals and over the years we have had all types of farm life including, cattle, goats, turkeys, chickens, emus, and many more, however hogs have always been a major focus. Now the Burge family including Pa’s son and daughter, along with their children and grandchildren have joined together to bring natural Pork and emu products to your table, forming Black Arrow Family Farms.
