Sassy Birch LLC is a woman owned and operated plant-based and vegan snack company currently focusing on alternative jerky products. Their goal is to provide delicious plant-based substitutes in place of traditionally meat-based items, as a healthier and more environmentally conscious snacking option for all.
Sassy Birch started in July of 2018 when founder Kristine Lee stumbled upon a super tasty and versatile vegan jerky recipe while experimenting with plant-based alternatives in her home. She shared what she had created with many of her meat loving and vegetarian friends, and after lots of positive feedback, decided that she had to share it with the world.

Production Practices
I have a cottage kitchen certification/approval, as well as approval to sell my vegan jerky. I have had it tested in a laboratory for acidity and water content and it passes all requirements for distribution. I can also produce a copy of my lab reports. I am food handler serv-safe certified.

I am vegetarian/vegan and I am also an experienced baker, chef, manager, sales rep and have experience in marketing and social media.
I want to bring veggie alternatives to the table that are so good that even meat eaters will be excited to try them. I believe strongly in the sustainability of plants as a food source and want to make the healthier more eco-conscious choices easier for people to make.
