Mario’s Salsa Bio
Mario’s Salsa, formerly known as The Red Bicycle, first started peddling our wares at the Camas Farmers Market on June 13th of 2012.
That day, we received an invitation from Ann Foster, to go to the Salmon Creek Farmer’s Market. We are forever grateful to Thomas Brundage from the Camas Farmer’s Market for his recommendation to Ann. So, we peddled The Red Bicycle from Camas, to Salmon Creek, then Battleground and as far as Ilwaco, Washington.

After several months of peddling around the state and as the markets closed for the winter, we were finally able to stop peddling on October 5th, 2012. On that day, The Red Bicycle was stocking the shelves of Chuck’s Produce on 132nd and Mill Plain. We took some time to settle into developing a routine of weekly demo’s and quickly, we became a fixture within the community and even made the top shelf after only 2 weeks!
After a couple months of getting our feet wet by steadily increasing our popularity, we were able to expand our little company within the general area by adding our product line to the shelves at New Seasons Market on 164th and Mill Plain, immediately becoming a top shelf producer there as well.
Soon afterwards, we expanded again to include Whole Foods (also on 164th near Mill Plain) and due to our notoriety from our other two stores, we quickly had a following there as well. Since then, we have expanded to include 17 more New Seasons stores in both Oregon and Washington with even more to come. New Seasons, Green Zebra Market and the local Farmer’s Markets have now become our main focus. Most recently, in the summer of 2018 we were able to begin a working relationship with Vancouver farmer’s Market by selling our products at the East Vancouver farmer’s Market.
We truly enjoy the Farmer’s Markets as they give us the opportunity to meet our customers face to face, provide our service to even more wonderful clients and to gather feedback on our product.
