About

We started Papa Curt’s Salsa after many friends encouraged us to sell it. Finally, a young man created our label and named the salsa. He said, “Here, go sell your salsa.” That was it, Papa Curt’s Salsa was born. It took us a year to perfect our product and get it into markets. We’ve been selling in stores for two years and we are proud to be part of the growing community of entrepreneurs in Douglas County.

Production Practices

We wash and cut our vegetables on the day we make our salsa. We inspect the tomatoes, onions, cilantro and peppers scrupulously before adding them to our product. Garlic, garlic salt and lime make our salsa pop. We tub it for you the next day and make our deliveries within the week.

Manager

Curt and Susan Crook/Owners
Curt and Susan are in charge of everything, including company morale, which includes stupid jokes, bad singing and reciting lines from favorite movies.

Zach and Hailey Carter are Curt and Susan’s side-kicks who laugh at appropriate times, sing and do great impressions. Zach’s impersonation of the Ginger Bread Man from Shrek is a favorite. “Not my gumdrop buttons!” And Hailey can actually sing, while the rest of us pretend.

Zach helps with production, delivery, sales and has great marketing ideas. Hailey tracks numbers on spread sheets and other paper related activities. In other words, she is in charge of keeping Susan sane. Together Zach and Hailey produced Eleanor, who has become our official Salsa Baby and is in charge of cuteness.

We love our team, and although we take our salsa and our customers seriously, everything else is a joke.
