Coppell GIDAS

miRcore is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research organization dedicated to democratizing medical research. Coppell GIDAS (Genes in Diseases and Symptoms) is a regional chapter of miRcore run by Coppell High School students to support miRcore's volunteer and community initiatives including educational summer camps, an annual student research conference and contest, and Gene Literacy and Advocacy campaigns. Each year, we raise awareness and fundraise for a research microgrant furthering discovery on diagnosis and treatment for a chosen disease; in 2023, the focus is autoimmune diseases, which affect over 24 million people nationwide.
