Production Practices

Printmaking is the process of creating multiples, by hand. In Relief Printmaking, the matrix (in which this case, Linoleum is used) is carved into, using simple hand carving tools, the top layer is then inked with special printmaking inks, a paper is placed on top and the whole package is then run through a printing press to create enough pressure of the linoleum onto the paper that an impression (print) is created!
