Big Calvin's BBQ

We are a family run food truck that offers traditional Filipinos style BBQ. My 4 siblings and I started a food stand in Eastern Market in front of KAPs Wholesale Meats and we're able to invest in a new food trailer in 2018. Our mother passed away and left us with money to invest in our dreams of owning a food trailer and that is how Big Calvin's BBQ started naming it after our baby brother. She was our biggest supporter and taught us a lot of the recipes we use today on the food trailer. We offer garlic and brown sugar marinated BBQ pork skewers as well as our chicken curry satay skewers that are served with a peanut curry coconut sauce. The skewers are served with our java rice that is a traditional Filipino style fried rice and we offer white jasmine rice as an option too. We are adding new items to the menu this season like our Filipino Liempo which is grilled pork belly that we do three ways with different seasonings and marinates. My siblings and I love working on the trailer and treating our customers with a taste of our homeland. Filipino food is rare to find in Southeast Michigan and it is our family's goal to bring our cuisine to Eastern Market and make our mother proud!
