Traditional ginger beer was an alcoholic drink that has been brewed since the mid 18th century using ginger root, lemons, and sugar to create a light and refreshing beer that packed a 20 proof punch.
We use those same great ingredients to brew a non-alcoholic version, keeping true to traditionally strong ginger and citrus flavors. Then, we give it a modern twist by offering seasonal flavors that give our brews a fresh new attitude.
SoCo Ginger Beer is rooted in Austin and now is also produced in Denton, by brothers David (Denton/DFW) and Benjamin Weaver (Austin). Together, they do farmer's markets as well as wholesales to local bars and restaurants. We take pride in providing amazing, local Ginger Beer for the flood of Moscow Mules being made all over Texas. Delicious by itself too!
