circa FORMA
Material Goods/Craft/Flea/Art
circa/FORMA ceramics are a mix of functional wares and decorative objects for the modern home. Pieces range from planter pots, vases, and drink/dinnerware to geometric forms, squiggles, and abstract one-offs. All works are designed, individually handmade, and glazed by Janet Williams at her studio space with Brick Street Clay located in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg, FL. She sources clay and other supplies from Highwater Clays in Clearwater, FL.
Janet Williams, Owner/Potter
I've been working in clay for over 15 years and started dreaming big with circa/FORMA in 2016. I love clean lines and simple shapes. My designs are inspired by hard edge painters and minimalist graphic design of the '60s with Brutalist/Modernist tendencies. One of my favorite painters, Carmen Herrera, said it well: "In this chaos that we live in, I like to put some order."
