Fused Whimsey

In 2006 I took a four-week fused glass class to learn the basics. After taking this class, I had a whole new perspective of what could be done in a kiln with layering sheets of glass and was instantly inspired! From that point on it didn’t take me long to get a studio together, so I could begin creating fused glass art. I enjoy combining various techniques and organic material to come up with new designs.

I make a wide variety of items including jewelry, suncatchers, window hangings, garden art, knobs, wind chimes, night lights, sailboats to trinket dishes. When possible I incorporate driftwood or rocks with the glass.

I have lived in Pinellas County for over 40 years and get a majority of my inspiration from the beach and the love I have for animals. I typically set up in the St. Petersburg area at The Saturday Morning Market and on Pass A Grille Beach on the patio next to Paradise Grille through SunTan Art Center.
