"I’m Deana, a mother, wife and total kitchen geek. I loved to cook, experiment with different flavors and am absolutely obsessed with kitchen gadgets and tools!

While we always followed a healthy diet, it wasn't until my diagnosis with the autoimmune disease Hashimoto that things changed. Refusing to succumb to its symptoms and “pill a day for the rest of your life” remedy, I researched and experimented to find the best means to manage it. Cutting out Gluten made a great difference, next was Soy, Dairy, most Nightshades, and Goitrogens. Naturally, it quickly made sense to go Vegan – not just being compassionate but also as a more sustainable path for our Health, Environment and Planet as a whole. The more I experimented and cut out the better I felt, and surprisingly, the fewer cravings I had.

“But what do you eat?” Plenty! The options are endless if you step outside the box. Being the kitchen geek I am, I did just that! And here we are – a mostly raw diet with all the chocolate, cookies, dips and chips, sandwiches and a lot more than I could possibly eat. And today, I'm thankful to finally have the opportunity to share my creations and passion with the world, to hopefully inspire others who follow a vegan/plant-based diet or are just curious and in doing so meeting many wonderful like-minded people.
