My flagship product is called “Flancocho” and it’s pronounced: Flahn-koh-Choh Some people may also know this traditional Latin American delight as Flancake or Impossible cake. Traditionally, in Puerto Rico the dish in composed of a moist and indulgent chocolate cake baked over a creamy and luscious caramel flan. The two batters bake together to form an evenly layered hybrid of the two. Flan has always been my favorite dessert, ever since I can remember, and well, who doesn’t like cake? So I drew inspiration from this concept and created a line of Flancocho’s for my virtual Dessert Shop: El Flanetario. Have you ever heard of Cheese Flan? Yeah it’s kind of a hybrid in itself as it combines elements from both Flan and Cheesecake. If that hasn’t made your mouth water yet, now picture a rich, moist and luscious Red Velvet cake baked directly on top of that Cheese Flan. Not a Red Velvet fan? How about Carrot? Same concept. In addition to my exclusive line of Flancochos, I also have a line of exotic flavored Flan, 3 leches cake, and various other baked items all relating to my shop’s theme. While many may know and LOVE flan as much as I do, Flancocho is a culinary gem that isn’t very well known outside of Latino communities; until now that is. I’ve come to change that with El Flanetario. Central Florida’s Premier Dessert & Catering Shop specializing in flan where the Big Flan Theory is lived, recipes are hypothesized and tested combining a taste of Puerto Rico with flavors and recipes from around the world. Then each proven hypothesis is carefully developed into a timeless recipe before being individually baked to perfection and then packaged with love and appreciation for each kindred spirit encountered on our journey.
