David Burns
David Burns is a life-long Californian, he received an MFA in Studio Arts from UCIrvine and a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and is originally from Los Angeles. David is a co-founder of the collaborative art project Fallen Fruit, a contemporary art collective that uses fruit as a material for creating art projects that investigate the boundaries of public spaces -- urban geographies, historical archives and installation artworks. David's artworks have been commissioned by cities and museums around the world with notable projects for the National Gallery Victoria in Melbourne Australia, Los Angeles State Historic Park, the V&A Museum in London, among others. His current project, “Plants and Seeds,” focuses on ornamental and edible heirlooms for the home gardener -- seasonal varietals are selected for exceptional qualities — flowers, flavors, and fragrance.
