Business Description:
I started baking and cooking for my daughter’s family and friends over 25 years ago. It started out with making holiday cookies and pies, but it grew into so much more. Each year families would ask if we were baking and typically put their orders in for specific baked goods. As my daughters and their friends became older the kids would all come over and decorate the items that their specific families requested.
It branched into helping families in need in our community. We took great pride in making dinners and desserts for well deserving families. It became we would cook and bake not only during holiday times, but also throughout the year. So many people were thankful for our kindness and delicious goodies.
So, this past holiday season came around again and as usual many families were asking for their favorite treats. Many of them wondered why I had not opened a bakery a long time ago, but I never really thought about it.
My daughter started begging me to start a home bakery. So long and behold after much consideration and a lot of wonderful family and friend’s encouragement we started Holly and Robin’s Delectable Delights.
We have obtained our licenses, but we do not need to be licensed with the Florida Department of Agriculture because we will not be selling items in need of refrigeration or cooked to order.
Product Description:
We have a variety of baked goods that we will be selling. There are some that will not be offered because they are seasonal. We are also experimenting with other baked goods to offer in the future.
• Hot Cocoa Bombs (Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Mint) $5/ea
• Muffins (Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Banana with & without nuts, Orange Cranberry) $3.50/ea
• Cake Pops (Chocolate, Vanilla, Funfetti) $2/ea
• Baked Donuts (Cinnamon, Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Frosted and Vanilla Frosted) $1/ea
• Cookies (Molasses, Peanut Butter Frosted, Snickerdoodles, Frosted Pumpkin Spice) $5/half dozen, $9/ doz $1 ea
• S’mores Pops $1/ea
• Specialty Loaf Breads (Blueberry Lemon, Banana, Chocolate Chip) $1/slice, $10/loaf
• Sweets Rolls $1.50/ea
Vending Experience:
We cannot really say we have vending experience with our baked goods, but I do have experience with other type of products especially trade shows and I have been and insurance agent for over 13 years.
We have been making a profit already due to our local ice cream shop has requested our baked goods. They have been selling extremely well. My daughter Holly has been doing a phenomenal amount of business at her current job, neighborhood and friends.
Booth Design:
• We have three tables in a U shape.
• We have our company banner on the front table facing the customers.
• We have two enclosed bakery displays sitting on the front table, which displays all products.
• We have all products in enclosed containers.
• We have certain items pre-packaged for customers.
