About

Hi there! My name is Kortlyn Dougherty and I am the hands and mind behind Rogue's Relics Jewelry. My small business is named after my fur-son, Rogue who is an adorable miniature aussie. I began my journey into wire wrapping jewelry about two years ago but have been crafty since before I can remember. My interest in wrapping really started to take off last year when my dad suffered a major stroke (he's okay!) last year and I spent a week in the hospital with him. I needed something to do with my hands and take my mind away from the stress so I brought wire with me to the hospital. From then on, it has become an outlet for me to deal with my stress and anxiety. Then, at the beginning of this year, I stumbled upon the art of electroforming. Electroforming is a technique where I am able to encase or "grow" copper on organic materials such as butterfly/dragonfly wings, feathers, leaves, etc. So now I am not only a wire-wrap artist, but also a well-rounded copper jewelry creator. I make all types of jewelry and accessories such as rings, pendants, hair pieces, and earrings using natural stones and copper. I also use sterling silver and stainless steel in my wire wrapped pieces. In addition, I am a middle school science teacher by day and am very versed in stone identification and love educating my customers on the stones that appeal to them! I have a deep passion for my craft and hope that you enjoy looking.
