Hi! We are Michaela and Doug and we are the sole creators of FinnWick handcrafted soy candles and tart melts! We named our candle business after our 7-year-old Australian Shepherd "Finn", whom we love as our own child, so it just naturally came together as our favorite name for the business! but in reality.. he is a very good boy and most DEFINITELY deserves a business named after him!
We create hand-crafted, hand-poured scented soy wax candles and soywax tart melts! We use only the best quality ingredients and have brought in over 40 uniquely different candle fragrances just to test, combine, test again, and test again, and again... just to get the right blends for our final products! We use natural cotton/paper braided wicks, and reusable amber and clear glass jars that our customers can reuse to store pens, marbles, spices, anything their hearts desire!
We only sell on Etsy and to our local friends and family right now but we are looking to grow! Our focus is on producing a "clean" candle with sustainable and reusable supplies as much as possible while also producing candles that are actually fragrant!
Our candles and melts are...paraffin-free, phthalate-free, vegan, and made with 100% US grown soy.

My name is Michaela Mills, and I am a creator and the manager of FinnWick Candles. I am 27 years old and while I work a full time job through the week, I sought out on an adventure on how to make a clean, strong-smelling, healthy candle. I knew I wanted to be 100% soy based and the soy wax must come from US grown soybeans. I wanted to use safe, non-toxic fragrance oils, sustainable cotton wicks, and reusable glass jars. I hand-craft and pour all of our candles and wax melts from home. Our customers so far have loved our candles, and our Etsy reviews from all over the US will speak for themselves. I am excited to find ways to grow our customer base and share my love of clean candles with others!
