About

At Moondance Bakery, we make everything from scratch, with most things baked the same day they are brought to market. We use no mixes, no preservatives, and no shortcuts. We use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, utilizing local farmers whenever possible. We only use butter from Larsen's Creamery in Clackamas, made from rBST-free milk and with a high butterfat content, making it perfect for flaky pie crusts, croissants and puff pastry. Our hazelnuts are found at local farmer's markets and we are currently baking with Filberts R Us from Corvallis. Our flour is from The Shepherd's Grain, a Farmer's Co-op with all participating farms certified by Food Alliance. All our fruit is from the Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge and is purchased at local farmer's markets whenever possible. Our eggs are sourced from various local farms.

Lisa K Johnson
Lisa is a self-taught baker, who from an early age learned the best tasting food was made from scratch with quality ingredients. She took the lessons and tips she learned from her mother who grew up on a farm north of Portland and built on them through the years. She spent the last two years perfecting her recipes for pies, tarts, croissants, cookies, puff pastries and brioche rolls. She has a degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University and another degree in Geology from Washington State. When she's not baking, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs exploring the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
