Meacham Urban Farm is a local, bio-intensive farm providing organic produce and wild-harvested goods. We pride ourselves in growing the cleanest food possible, controlling our weeds using hoes, flames, and hands.

Production Practices
Use Only Organic Materials Integrated Pest Management Crop Rotation
We grow up to 35 different vegetables and fruits on 6 acres in Lutz, Town 'n Country, and soon to open downtown location. Our veggies are always free from pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers. To create fertile soil and healthy vegetables, we use compost, organic fertilizers, and cover cropping.
Our small-scale farming techniques cultivate:

Joe studied Environmental Microbiology and Geology and soon after graduation began pursuing a career cultivating local produce in the Bay area. Along with Kristin, Joe opened Black Finger Farm, a one acre, organic farm in Lutz, Florida in 2016.
Dissatisfied with the accessibly to fresh and local produce in the Tampa area, Kristin joined Joe to create high quality vegetables, grown for herself and the community. She now is one of the lead farmers and CSA Manager at Meacham and Black Finger Farm.
Travis has lived in the Tampa area for 20 years. Travis is president of the Temple Terrace Community Gardens, and member of the Temple Terrace Garden Club.
Travis bought eight acres of unique land near Hwy 301 and in the past two years, he's turned half-jungle, half-parking lot into a food-producing environment! Trail Bale Farm raises animals in the most natural, humane, environmentally beneficial manner. The herds and flocks are frequently moved and all animals receive organic feed, and are not medicated. He joined the Meacham Team this year!
