About

I’m an artist that married a construction worker. We have 2 beautiful growing girls, 12 chickens, 2 ducks, and 1 spoiled rotten beagle. We live in the country and heat our home with a wood stove. A few years ago I started “rescuing” the cast off job site lumber from our burn pile because it was “too pretty to be firewood”...and that was the beginning of Cedar Heart Salvage Art.
Since then we’ve created over 500 pieces of art that have been sold locally, at our hometown Farmers Market in Broadway, VA, as wells as at vendor shows and craft fairs around the Shenandoah Valley, and in a local Main Street Antique Mall.
I use only reclaimed wood, salvaged lumber, and repurposed materials in my creations. I love using bold bright happy colors, vintage goodies, glass, jars, buttons, wire, baling twine, and burlap to make my items unique. My girls are involved in a LOT of activities, so I’ve also developed a love (and a stash) of yarn to work on while I’m on the go (crochet is therapeutic)!
We hope you enjoy Cedar Heart Salvage Art and thank you for supporting a small business!
