A Simpler Place Farm & Market
Farmer/Dealer
Founded in 2012, A Simpler Place has been a pioneer in bringing organic, local and sustainable foods to the Tampa Bay area. We are your neighborhood suburban farmette with diversified farm to table offerings. We have an onsite farm store & certified kitchen that allows us to produce value added products with local produce. We grow using non-gmo and organic seed, free of any synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. We compost onsite in partnership with Suncoast Compost, have bees for pollination and honey, and chickens for fertilizer and eggs. We work with over twenty local farms in season to bring local agricultural to our community through our on-farm farm store.
Use Only Organic Materials Non Gmo Crop Rotation Cover Crops Low Till Holistic Management Perennial Crops Extended Growing Season Thermal Composting
Although not certified organic we grow to the same standards but in our opinion higher standards. We use compost, low-till methods with cover crops and weed suppression to cover beds out of rotation. We take a holistic approach to our small farm with everything connecting from the origin of the soil, to seed, fruit and back to compost.
Renee Raley
Hi, my name is Renee and I am the founder of A Simpler Place. I had a strong desire many years ago to try and bridge the gap between local farm and consumer. I began A Simpler Place as an aggregator in 2012 making relationships with local farms and hoping to bring them some support by bringing their goods to market. We have evolved over the years to now have our own small plot of land where we grow and also continue to support our local farm community in our on-farm stand. Our mission to connect our community with local ag has not changed and we now have a small but mighty incredible team to help see this vision through. Pictured here is myself and daughter with Kait Davis, our farm store manager, who will also be our farm market manager should we be approved for the market(s).
