Individual, unique custom painted/embellished rice paper/bamboo parasols. Instant cool relief from the intense sun. Also used as decor for the home placed in a basket/vase or hung upside down. A 3 part painting process is used to strengthen the paper canopy. Wonderful for use in the market, at outdoor events such as weddings, concerts, sporting events, team benefit walks, birthday parties, golfing, beach. Various sizes. Custom designs available.

Production Practices
1. Paint plain paper bamboo parasol with gesso to strengthen the canopy
2. Paint a background color or large design (like large flower or pattern design) onto canopy (sun protection)
3. Paint a water based polyurethane or tung oil finish for further strengthening, luster and limited water repellency (not intended for rain).
4. Some parasols are embellished using paper or silk flowers or other decorations like ribbons, felt applications, adhesive cloth.
